CARE & CLEANING
HUBER Triggers are designed to operate DRY or Lightly oiled. But, KG-5 lubrication is recommended for normal situations. As the trigger is an important component of the rifle and your discipline & proficiency, Care & Cleaning should follow along with your regular rifle maintenance routine. Triggers are not immune to weather & environment, neglect and abuse.
The current Huber trigger has provision for Remington Lower Bolt Release Lever actuated in front of the trigger.
Recommended Cleaning solvents and lubricants: KG-5, REM-OIL, BRAKLEEN, MEK, TCE, Alcohol, Napthalene lighter fluid, other high vapor pressure, rapid evaporating cleaning solvents. Avoid ammonia
Compressed Air/ Canned dry air (computer cleaning/dust remover products)
1. Trigger: IN or OUT of stock/chassis, mounted to receiver Intrusion gates, edges and all exposed areas.
2. Trigger: Out of stock/chassis, Not mounted to receiver Top access – liberate rear sear pin, allow sear to rotate up – on to front sear pin to inspect and clean internals or thru side window. To close sear using Allen wrench from rear, tend sear spring into sear spring pocket, re-pin and confirm full sear travel when trigger pulled fully to fire.
Triggers are shipped lightly lubricated with KG-5 for “break-in”. Subsequently, trigger can be run dry or lightly lubricated. Adverse conditions may necessitate more frequent inspection and cleaning. Lightly LUBRICATE with KG-5 (SHAKE WELL) Sear/ Connector contacts thru window Pivots (sear, safety, trigger, connector)
